summer update

Long time no news.  It's been another summer of planting trees, although during short trips into the real world, planning has gone ahead for our August festival, as well as the two musical projects we're working on.  Look for more info on all of those soon.  We were going to post a mix of music from festival performers but have been waiting to confirm the lineup a bit more accurately, that might be up next week.

One other thing that happened recently, is a neat Netwaves interview with us that was broadcast on the Belgian FM station Radio Scorpio, and you can listen to it (mostly in German) right here.

87.9

On the 30th of April, this Wednesday actually, all you German listeners should tune in to Hertz 87.9 (Bielefeld campus radio) as they're doing a Peppermill special, cool!  That's at 10pm (gmt +1) to be more specific.

Come one come all, to the Peppermill Music Festival, August 9th and 10th!  Well not all, there's a limited amount of space up at this pristine alpine lake, but we still hope you personally join us at this new location (even prettier than our original choice).  Click on the photo for more details.

phlow

Here's a nice write-up we received in Phlow, an online magazine for new music, and a great place to find samples of new netlabel releases.  Make sure you visit this post as well.  It's about a direction in album art for the digital age that's quite wonderful, you'll have to see it for yourself.

Also a quick update on our summer festival, the date is now August 9th, which is a long weekend.  We'll start the hike up the mountain early on the Saturday morning, and hike down on Monday.  We'll be putting up a lot more details over the next month.  See you there!

52 short weeks...

finishhh.jpg

Yes!  Here, finally, is the mixed version of our 52 Weeks project.

The Bran Flakes kicked it off on December 21st, 2006, and (in theory) exactly a year later The Real Tuesday Weld brought it to its sweet conclusion.  Sure, we had a few setbacks along the way, last minute replacements, artist computer meltdowns, but the final result is... well you listen for yourself!  I love it.

So we've finally reached the end of the last season of our 52 Weeks project, we'll be mixing it together and releasing the finished album in a couple of weeks, it should be quite grand.  Until then, you can listen to all the individual, unmixed songs right here.  Or just have a listen to the wonderful final tune by The Real Tuesday Weld.

Here's two great new tunes for your listening pleasure... first listen to Scrambled Mache, and follow that up with some Candlestickmaker.
