The lines between life and death have been blurred to the point that one actually crosses each other. The dead pets are now babies and their pets are the babies which gave them life in the beginning. We often find the owners dressed up like fuzzy creatures to resemble their pets. They no longer can have children because they never die. Instant life is instant death. We put the cat back in the bag to cure its curiosity.

hidden lands

I'm finally listening to the wonderful magnificant second album from Peppermill alumni Candy Claws, and must urge everyone to get it, it's even available in classic vinyl black if that's your thing. Also have a read, Pitchfork writer Ian Cohen gave it a 7.9, and he's not alone when it comes to blogosphere love.

Also they're coming to Vancouver! The Media Club, to be exact. Despite recently having their gear destroyed in a van fire while on tour, nothing will stop them... I hope to somehow make it to the coast for the 8th of September, a good chunk of the Act So Big Forest crew will be backing them, I'm certain it will more than worth the price of admission.

upghostery

Back we are, after a few weeks off, enjoying both the sinfully thick electronic vibes of the Shambhala Music Festival as well as our very own Peppermill Fest up at Heaven, of which we'll post some highlights from in the coming weeks.

Here then we have the next entry into 2999, a mind-bending collaboration between Liar and Mio del Rosario, enjoy!

short update

Hey people, we're quite busy with our upcoming festival this weekend, but will get the next 2999 track up tomorrow or the day after or the day after after after, and next week's... sometime after that. Busy busy busy! This festival is now taking place in Heaven, an even littler known alpine basin, near Cranbrook, BC, and we'll be out of contact from the rest of the world till Sunday night. Good bye!

no fucking around
